As a means to open and facilitate worldwide access to internationally renowned teachers and researchers, the University of Basel provides a variety of studying programmes in English.

In addition to the already listed Master programmes, the Swiss Tropical Institute (STI) in association with the University of Basel’s Biozentrum, the NUS in Singapore and the Novartis Institute for Tropical Diseases jointly offer an English-language MSc in Infectious Diseases, Vaccinology and Drug Discovery The MSc is only offered every other year (next course to apply for started in 2011). The Center for European and International Studies of the University of Basel offers a Masters of Advanced Studies (MAS) programme in European Integration.
