Joint Doctoral programmes

Doctoral students of English have the possibility of participating in a trinational compact course, organised by EUCOR (Universities of Basel, Freiburg im Breisgau, Strasbourg, Haute-Alsace). For more information please visit the EUCOR website.

The University of Basel offers a PhD programme in Plant Sciences together with the University of Zurich and the ETHZ. The programme is offered by the Plant Science Center Zurich-Basel and supports interdisciplinary research between eight different institutes at three Swiss universities.

PhD students from all disciplines may participate in the European Doctoral College of the University of Strasbourg. Comparable to the Cotutelle agreements, the college allows students to obtain a double PhD degree from the University of Strasbourg and another university of their choice.
